A beautifull introduction to Iranian classical music,

For those who are not familiar with the classical music of Iran this set is a very good introduction. More solemn and more audibly structured than the better known music from India, these improvisations on classical tonescales reveal their beauty only after repeated listening .The pieces on tar and santur are at times very moving.
