We in Baltimore City are proud of the legacy that Ronnie has in this city. There are more R.D. stories to go around but as the Baltimore Sun news paper printed way back if my memory serves me right,1963,Ronnie is and will be one of the best new singers of our time! I heard Ronnie himself say a couple of years back that even Elvis told him, "Don't ever change the way you go high at the end of your songs as that will become your trade-mark"...I do believe that the King was right on. Ronnie had a joint here on Rt.40 a few years back called the "DovesNest" and he could still hit those high notes even though in his 60s.This is one Great collection of hits as some of these songs I never heard Ronnie do before but as always he performe each one as though it was his only hit.The first night we heard Ronnie make it big on the radio with "One Kiss for Old... The sound is good, the liner notes informative, and they certainly go deep into his vault of hits. But not deep enough.First of all, the man had 20 charted hit singles from 1964 to 1969, all with Phil Kahl's Diamond Records of New York City (Kahl, in fact, produced most of those hits). But somehow, in spite of turning out 60 tracks, they contrive to leave out two legitimate hits! While inserting their uncharted B-sides! Mind you, the two missing weren't among his top charters by any means, as Dancin' Out Of My Heart could only get to # 87 Hot 100 late in December 1967 (b/w Back From Baltimore), while In Some Time finished at # 37 Adult Contemporary/# 99 Hot 100 in March 1968 (b/w Livin' For Your Lovin'). But still, they WERE hits and therefore the target of many collectors (like myself). And...
